Rao Xiong

Rao Xiong is a Ph.D. student in Statistics and Data Science with a background in quantitative methods and educational research. She earned an M.S. in Statistics, Measurement, Assessment, and Research Technology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Data Analyst working in TeknoLab at the University of Arizona under the supervision of Nicole B. Kersting, where she supports research projects by coordinating study tasks, communicating with participants, and monitoring data collection. She also conducts comprehensive data analyses—including data cleaning, statistical modeling, interpretation, and visualization.
Her research focuses on improving statistical methodologies in educational research, with particular emphasis on Bayesian Networks and the comparison of different learning approaches. In addition to research, she is interested in teaching and has served as a teaching assistant for multiple undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics and statistics.
