Nicki B. Kersting, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and a faculty member in the Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Statistics (GDIP) at the University of Arizona. Her research is focused on teachers’ usable knowledge and knowledge use in mathematics teaching, its impact on decision-making and teaching and the cognitive processes involved. She is especially interested in how to support teachers in improving their own teaching at scale.

Before joining the University of Arizona as a faculty member in December 2009, Nicki earned her Master’s and Ph.D. from UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
